Deputy PM Hoàng Trung Hải has agreed in principle with Đà Lạt City’s proposal ofhiring foreign consultants to make a planning to 2050 for the city.

According to the planning approved by the PM in November 2011, Đà Lạt is the political, administrative, economic, cultural, recreational and scientific hubs.
By 2020, the city is estimated to have a population of 620,000-650,000, and an urbanization rate of 55-60%. By 2030, the respective figures are 700,000-750,000 and 60-65%.
Đà Lạt is forecast to receive 5-6 million tourists in 2020 and 9-10 million by 2030.
